Chipping, shuffleboard, swimming, bocce, and a variety of other events were included on the Olympic program that took place during the last week in March at The Terraces at Bonita Springs. Residents came out in force to try their hands (and feet) at a variety of activities, getting into the spirit of competition and winning medals galore. Participants gamely demonstrated their talents in aim, balance, and accuracy, while many other residents joined in as spectators cheering the others on. A team of dedicated staff members facilitated each event, explaining the rules and keeping score.

The Olympics, like many other programs at The Terraces, reinforce that living well encompasses physical health, plus the mind and spirit. Our philosophy at The Terraces addresses all of those components and brings that philosophy to life.

“The Olympics program is more than a special event,” said executive director Sam Guedouar. “It is part of the promise that we will enrich our residents lives by delivering each experience through caring service. We love to see our residents having fun and enjoying life.”
